We’ve been bringing music into the homes of our students’ families in the Cowichan Valley for over 20 years. We value Sitka’s musical community and seek to nurture connections for students through our unique program.
We use cutting edge teaching materials that connect with our students and inspire them to learn in ways that are relevant to them. From improvisation to sight-reading, we build all of these skills to create well rounded musicians who are capable to branch out into other areas of the arts.
Did you know that students retain new skills through game based learning faster than other methods?! We use game based learning in every lesson and see theory concepts growing in our students minds right before our eyes!
We encourage our students to use their musical skills to create music too! We provide composition opportunities where students create their own music. It’s amazing to see our students blossom in this way and to look back through their compositions and see their growth and development.

Learn to play the piano with our enthusiastic teachers in an atmosphere that focuses on creating a feeling of individual success. Our program and our teachers make piano both relevant and fun! We focus on pursuing individual goals with our students to help create a genuine feeling of success and enjoyment. Our teachers are encouraging, versatile and insightful towards every student, young or young at heart!
With our leadsheet-of-the-month and regular composing activities, our piano students learn skills that they will need and use in todays musical community, and beyond!
We also offer Royal Conservatory of Music exam preparation and WunderKeys Piano For Preschoolers (see below).
The Wunderkeys Program for Preschoolers is loved by all! This program is designed for 3-5 year olds to give them a head start in Music, Math and Life! This one-on-one piano program takes preschool children with no musical experience on a magical journey with their finger friends where they acquire the piano skills, keyboard awareness, and rhythmic understanding they need for a successful future at the piano or other instruments.
ADULT PIANO LESSONS (ages 18 and up) Daytime and evening appointments are available for beginning or returning students. Do you have memories of boring (or terrifying!) piano lessons from your childhood? The face of music has changed! Give yourself an activity to unwind and unleash your creative potential.
SING & PLAY PIANO This exciting opportunity is a great way for intermediate piano students to branch out and bring together their musical talent to the next level. Learn to improvise on the piano with chording techniques while developing your singing skills will be sure to bring out the star in you! Students must be in the piano method book 2 level or higher to enrol.
Every Rockstar needs a guitar! We encourage our students to learn songs that they connect with and enjoy while learning to play chords, read music notation, TAB, and just generally rock! You’ll also learn how your guitar works and how to take care of your instrument. Beginning students learn to master foundational skills as well as how to read TAB and musical notation. Advanced students will enjoy the challenge of sharpening their skills while expanding their repertoire or trying a new style. We offer lessons in acoustic and electric guitar.
UKULELE (ages 5 to adult) Great for little fingers and seekers of fun! This happy and easy to pick up instrument is a great way to explore stringed instruments for the first time. It’s also the perfect instrument to pick up and take with you anywhere! Students learn to play favourite tunes and build their skills through discovering chords, melodies, rhythm, strumming, and more.
SING & PLAY GUITAR Develop your vocal skills to your full potential while learning chords and strumming patterns on the guitar to accompany yourself and while you sing. You’ll have the opportunity to learn the basics of music composition and explore song-writing as well. For ages 12 and up. Guitar experience is an asset, but beginners are welcome!
Learn how to sing your favourite songs or discover a new musical style! Our teachers are in tune with today’s students and teach a wide selection of music from Pop, Rock, Jazz, Classical, Country, to Musical Theatre.
We focus on vocal health and technique, helping our students to discover their voice in a way that is comfortable, correct and fun. We also offer Royal Conservatory of Music exam preparation for students who wish to pursue this program.
Have fun exploring the upbeat foot stomping exciting music of the East Coast and Celtic Music with our enthusiastic and fun fiddle teacher! Learn Scottish, Irish, and East Coast music in an relaxed and fun atmosphere that focuses on developing improv skills, learning to play by ear, and building a love for this musical style full of beauty and life!
